HT linear regulator board for valve
HT linear regulator board for valve/tube radio B+ supply or HV projects


This is a high voltage linear regulator based on the LR8N3 driving a TIP50

This version includes screw type power connectors that can be removed if direct soldering to the PCB is preferred (Please contact me if you wish me to ship the unit without the connectors)

The board includes AC rectification (Bridge) and terminals for a choke inductor - The choke is bridged but this can simply be removed to install a choke

Typical use is for older valve/tube radios such as the BC348 BC453 Marconi Phillips etc which would benefit from a stable B+ supply, but it could also be used to create an adjustable high voltage supply or any equipment requiring a stable high voltage supply

The output is adjustable and calibrated at 220V dc but this can be adjusted from 50V to 240V

Maximum output is 100mA which is fused, most equipment will require about 70mA

Resonable ventilation is required for the heatsink if run at maximum output (100ma)

It is supplied with insulated M3 stand-off PCB pillars

The maximum permitted input is 300volts RMS from an isolated source i.e. not mains!

MFJ-1786 10MHz - 28MHz loop antenna
MFJ-1786 10MHz - 28MHz loop antenna.

This is approx 12months and the guy originally bought it from ML&s.

Comes with "black" fronted Remote control unit, 240 mains adapter with UK plug and the loop itself.

Short little history and I can discuss more via email/phone if you require more info.Unfortuately the guy I got it from had mislaid some of the mounting hardware and he was struggling to get the loop to tune.

Once I got it home, looked over it and noticed that the internal loop was out of shape. Once I had fixed this I've found I can tune with a good SWR on most bands just a foot off the ground placed on a plastic box.

I've flowed new solder across the loops solder joints, replaced all the loop case/housing screws, replaced the tape holding internal wires and found saddle clamps so it can be mounted vertical. It does have the horizontal bracket but requires a new U Bolt as it bent out of shape and securing mounting strap which you could make.

Prefer the buyer to collect from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne but willing to travel abit just ask you to cover my fuel. Ask I have no box I can't ship at the moment.

Icom IC 7300.
it has some small marks around and one on the vfo from a kid dropping the fist mic and just catching the silver edge of the knob this has been polished out now, and the other marks are nothing bad..

Is fully TX top to bottom.
Fully boxed with the dc lead and mic and the book.box is not the best and one box from inside is missing but this does not effect the radio working,
Works as it should and never used on CB freq’s
Has the clock battery issue.

IC7300 PTRX SDRplay

Lovely condition, This radio as had all 5 new ceramic filters replaced,so know need to worry about the common issue they had, and was given a good bill of health.Has small very light scratch on the bottom cover and running on firmware V1.12 July 2015.

If things go wrong I recommend the Small Claims Court online process. It is cheap, easy and very effective. The fee is added to the claim so if the Court finds in your favour it costs nothing.
